The largest solar power plants on the planet:
- Tengger Desert Solar Park. It is currently the largest solar power station in the world. It is located in China, in the Tengar desert and covers 43 km². The peak power of the station is 1,547 MW which is equivalent to the power of some nuclear power plants. The station received the nickname of the Great Solar Wall. And since there are enough free territories next to it, it is likely that it has taken a leading position for a long time.
- Bhadla Solar Park. The power plant with a capacity of 1,365 MW and an area of 40 km² is located in the northwestern part of India, the Jodhpur district. They plan to expand the facility and increase its capacity to 2,255 MW which will give it the opportunity to obtain the title of the largest SES on the planet in the future.
- Longyangxia Dam Solar Park. The solar station is located in Qinghai province, China. Its capacity is 850 MW and its area is 30 km². The territory of the SES is incorporated with the territory of a hydroelectric power station of the same name (its capacity is 1,280 MW). Together, they form an integrated energy complex and complement each other: SES reduces the cost of water resources of the hydroelectric power station, and it, in turn, takes on the drops during the generation of energy by panels.

Villanueva. The power plant is located in Mexico and has the status of the largest in the North and South Americas. It has been in operation since 2018. About 2.5 million solar panels of the station cover an area of 24 km² and are capable of generating 828 MW.
Kamuthi Solar Power Station. A solar power station is located in southern India. It was commissioned in 2016 and has a capacity of 648 MW. The property covers an area of 10 km². 2.5 million solar panels can provide electricity to 750,000 people. Robots are working on cleaning the station’s panels which are also charged by the energy of the Sun. About 600 million US dollars were invested in the project.
